  For just $1.25 per ride, guests can catch a Southbank Shuttle every 15 minutes from all major hotels, convention centers and a number of other locations on both sides of the river, including Newport on the Levee. www.tankbus.org

The Purple People Bridge
The Newport Southbank Bridge Company, Inc.

  Provides information on the country’s longest (2,670-foot span) all-pedestrian bridge that links two states.  The 131-year-old L&N Bridge reopened in the spring of 2003 after receiving a $4.1 million makeover that included a coat of bright purple paint.  The “Purple People Bridge” includes park benches and flowering seasonal planters.  This bridge begins/ends on the Levee's northeast side.

  Located to the west side of the Levee, this bridge provides pedestrian and vehicle access from Cincinnati to Newport.
