Newport on the Levee to Host “Boos and Brews” Event on Oct. 31
Community invited to get in the spooky spirit at the riverfront mixed-use destination
CINCINNATI (Oct. 20, 2020) – On Saturday, Oct. 31, all ghosts and goblins are invited to Newport on the Levee’s inaugural “Boos and Brews” event, a scary fun, open-air Halloween soiree at the mixed-use destination. From 4 to 11 p.m., friends and families can treat themselves to an evening along the Ohio River, complete with festive tunes and performances, costume contests, haunted libations, spooky decor and more.
“Halloween is a spook-tacular opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a fun night of outdoor celebrations at the Levee,” said Pat Sharp, marketing director at Newport on the Levee. “We can’t wait to activate the Levee with live music and activities for all ages, as well as watch the property come to life with great costumes, haunted decor, and more for our first-ever Boos and Brews event.”
The festivities will begin in the Bridgeview Box Park at 4 p.m. with family-friendly activities, plenty of Halloween treats and live music by local favorite Floyd & The Walkmen. At 6 p.m., Cincinnati-based performance group The Millennium Robots will put on a special Halloween-themed dance show. From 7 to 11 p.m., DJ Patrick & DJ Jules take the night away with scary good music for guests to get their boo-gie on. All guests are encouraged to don their best costumes for a chance to win the Halloween Costume Contest hosted by Kon Tiki. The first place winner will receive $300, second place $150 and third place a gift card to Shires Garden.
Throughout the event, guests can enjoy delectable, Halloween-themed sips and snacks in the Bridgeview Box Park, such as Wooden Cask’s Pumpkin Ale, Rotolo Pizza Cart’s Pumpkin Cinnamon Dessert Pizza, Bon Mi Street’s Spooky Mango Smoothie, Kon Tiki’s Candy Corn Cocktail, Sweet Dream’s Light-Up Cotton Candy and more.
Newport on the Levee continues to prioritize the health, safety and comfortability of its guests. Boos and Brews will be hosted in the open-air box park with heaters and room for guests to socially distance. In addition, 6-foot turf squares will be placed in the Aquarium Plaza for family and friends to safely gather and enjoy the live music and performances. The full list of safety measures taken at the Levee can be found here.
