Summary/Objective The maintenance technician position is responsible for the day-to-day routine maintenance of the property. Duties may include the inspection and repair of equipment, solving common electrical and plumbing problems and touch-up painting. As well as other tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Perform highly diversified duties to maintain the facility and its equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and perform scheduled maintenance & repairs of equipment.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing, lighting, carpentry, and painting functions.
  • Perform basic door & lock repair, and fire pump testing.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Assist contractors, vendors, and tenants as needed.
  • Assist with set-up and take down of various Marketing events and activities.

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position that requires flexible availability. However, typical hours of work and days for this position are Wednesday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Special circumstances may require evening and atypical work days (e.g. marketing events, Riverfest).

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of maintenance or construction experience.
