Cincinnati Reds History through the eyes of an Artist

Art on the Levee Gallery is kicking off baseball season by hosting an exciting new exhibition entitled, "Rooted Deep In the Soil of Cincinnati...A Passion for Baseball, Art and Inspiration,” by artist Chris Felex. Chris Felix, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, is known for his detailed paintings of Cincinnati Reds players. The exhibition is free and open to the public and will run March 23 - May 23. The public is also invited to the opening on March 23rd from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Art on the Levee where they can meet Chris Felix and hear him speak about his paintings.

Chris' work has been featured on WXIX-TV and WGUC-FM, both in Cincinnati. He has also been mentioned in two of sportswriter Mike Shannon's books, Willie Mays: Art in the Outfield and Coming Back to Baseball: Cincinnati Astros and the Joys of Over 30 Play. The Topps Card Co. commissioned Chris to do ten paintings as part of their 2010 National Chicle Baseball Card set. The cards were released on April 28, 2010.
