After working as executive chef at Quan Hapa for eight years, Filipino immigrant and co-owner of Decibel Korean Fried Chicken Mapi De Veyra has teamed up with some of his veteran industry colleagues to create this Mexican taqueria-style restaurant. Like all great ideas, Los Tacos Hermanos was inspired by conversations shared over staff meals at Quan Hapa and is designed to serve as an incubator to help his staff — longtime co-workers of De Veyra — start their own business.
Its menu features street tacos with a West Coast flare along with burritos, tortas, appetizers, and sides, like carne asada fries, which are seasoned with a homemade spice, topped with marinated beef, and served with sour cream, guacamole, and made-in-house salsa.
